摘要: In this talk, I will first give an overview of the enumeration of maps and hypermaps which is a topic lying at the crossroad of several research fields such as topology, algebraic geometry and mathematical physics. Then, I will report some progresses recently made by our group, including a unified approach for proving the celebrated Harer-Zagier formula, Jackson’s formula for one-face hypermaps, and explicit formulas for the genus distribution polynomials for a family of two-face hypermaps and their log-concavity.

简介：陈小锋，合肥工业大学数学学院研究员、博士生导师、黄山学者特聘教授。在美国弗吉尼亚理工大学取得博士学位，先后任职于华为、美国弗吉尼亚大学；入选安徽省高层次人才项目。主要研究领域为计数与代数组合，网络动力系统及其在生物数学和移动通信中的应用。已在Journal of Combinatorial Theory Series A, SIAM Journal on Applied Dynamical Systems, SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics, Advances in Applied Mathematics, Bulletin of Mathematical Biology等期刊发表论文近20篇，出版通信技术专著1部，是40余项关于4G移动通信等技术国内外已授权发明专利发明人。
